Typing Game: Velocity Run
Type the words before they cross the finish line. Words closer to the line score more; every level gets faster.
Why a game helps
Games add a little pressure and a reason to repeat, which is exactly what builds typing speed. Velocity Run trains two habits a plain test does not: reading ahead to pick the most urgent word, and committing to a word without looking down. For a measured score, go back to the typing speed test.
Tip: the highlighted word is the one your typing currently matches. If you make a mistake, press Esc to clear the box and start the word again.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play Velocity Run?
Words move from left to right toward a finish line. Type any word exactly and it disappears instantly; there is no need to press Space or Enter. Let three words reach the line and the run ends.
Does the game get harder?
Yes. Every 8 words you clear, the level rises: words move faster, appear more often, and get longer.
