A simple practice plan

  1. Warm up (2 min): home row drill, slowly, eyes on the screen.
  2. Weak keys (5 min): generate a paragraph around the letters your results flag.
  3. Real text (5 min): a paragraph test with capitals and punctuation.
  4. Measure (1 min): one 1 minute test, logged in your history.

New to touch typing? Start with the home row finger map and the touch typing guide.

Frequently asked questions

How long should I practise typing each day?

Short, focused sessions work best: 10 to 20 minutes a day beats an hour once a week. Stop when your accuracy starts dropping.

Which drill should I start with?

If you still look at the keys, start with the home row drill, then top row and bottom row. If you already touch type, use common words and punctuation, and generate text around your weak keys.

How does the AI practice text work?

You choose a topic, a level and optionally some letters to focus on. An AI model writes a new 70 to 90 word paragraph for you to type. Only those three settings are sent; nothing else about you.
